Gaara knowing that once Sasuke goes into Susano'o the battle will be a harder match to overcome. Taking this into hand, Gaara being the tactical, and analytic Genius as well would realize Sasuke relies heavily on Sharingan-related techniques such as Amaterasu etc. he would deceive Sasuke from the start of the battle, seeing as the Terrain itself is in Gaara's favor; The Plan:

Situation Update:
With the 5 Groups deployed, and surrounding all 5 corners of the Map, as well shielding, and monitoring their, as well Sasuke's action(s) Gaara has gained the advantage:
(a): The Distance has exceeding Long-Range; Sasuke will have to travel to point "x" to get to target "x" (x referring the a location, and person), thus allowing anticipation, and counter-measures to be done.
(b): The number of targets has been upped by 10 making 11 total Gaara's. This means Sasuke only has about 9% chance to kill the real Gaara out of the 11.
(c): The Decoy is set down, not only for deception, but to finish expanding the materializing of the grounds exterior into Sand. As well to entrap Sasuke, and block his Sighting of the other Gaara's sphere's of Sand.
(d): The Sand Shields protect the 11 Gaara's from
Sasuke would rush into battle, forming his Susano'o right off the bat more than likely aiming to taking out the Decoy setup. Going for the Decoy, once entering it's range, Sasuke, along with his Susano'o would be engulfed by the materialized Sand put into place a few steps back (by now the entire field is materialized into pure sand), leaving Sasuke, and the Decoy Clone cut off from the others. While Sasuke is distracted, and cut off the five groups of Gaara's will be performing an Offensive, and Defensive formation:

Let's skip to the point now.. Gaara, can utilize Shukaku's Juinjutsu (Cursed Seal) through his sand with the aid of Shukaku's chakra. Yes, Shukaku was completely extracted from Gaara back in Early Pt.2 however, that doesn't mean that Gaara still doesn't possess a minuscule portion of the Ichibi's chakra. Hear me out:
Gaara was born into this world a monster, through a Jutsu which his Father, the Yondaime Kazekage applied on his Wife while she was pregnant with an Unborn-Gaara. This Jutsu allowed Shukaku to possess Kurara, as well an Unborn-Gaara seeping its chakra into both the Mother, and her unborn child:

The Ichibi is said to give a person Insomnia, Karura is in the form of Chakra within Gaara's Sand, The Sand never sleeps due to Shukaku's side-effects thus, Karura's chakra can never take a break, and will always respond against Gaara's will; Auto Defense is caused via Shukaku's Insomnia side-effect affecting Karura's chakra.
Now that that's been said, and done:
Shukaku's Chakra allows the user to take advantage of the Cursed Seals upon its body, to Paralyze the targeted enemy. Naruto through the implication of Rasengan easily subdued a Psuedo-Madara. The paralysis effects were near-instant:
"He Moved" was referring to the Real-Madara, who evaded the technique. The targeted Fake-Madara however, was paralyzed, and couldn't move. Gaara with the now known knowledge of Shukaku's capability of manifesting Juinjutsu via the Cursed Seals on its body will now be capable of adjoining Shukaku's Cursed Seals into his own very Sand. The combination of Gaara's Sand, and Shukaku's Cursed Seals will look like this:

Countering Pt-1 of the opener...
Sasuke will quickly stall Gaara seeing as he has the distance advantage while Gaara is deploying his sand sensing Sasuke quickly goes standing Susanoo and it jumps to give him this air view of Gaara.(
Sand wall is useless here why? Because it would have been plowed through by Enton Susanoo arrows. Once Enton is close enough Sasuke controls it and allows it to jump on Gaara.

Your right that Sasuke Susanoo will run towards Gaara but while it's running it will be shooting Susanoo arrows which will either kill Gaara or throw all him all the way off for enough time for Sasuke to get close. Or he could use Manda and Aoda as distractions as well. Gaara isn't going to manipulate the entire ground when Amaterasu is heating it up seeing as Kabuto can basically do the same thing and the heat stopped the chakra manipulation.(
