Taijutsu, literally meaning Body Skill, is a basic form of techniques and refers to any techniques that involve martial arts or the optimization of natural human abilities. Taijutsu can be split into two general categories: techniques that require chakra and those that do not require chakra. Techniques that require chakra are utilized by special bio abilities that enhance the physical features or motions of the body, examples are Gentle Fist and Dead Bone Pulse. There are also other techniques that simply use pure chakra to enhance physical capabilities. The training of these techniques is to be handled by specialists of those bios, and this training does not pertain to those skills. This training is focused on the Strong Fist aspect of taijutsu. Taijutsu is executed by accessing both the physical and mental energies within the body, and relying on the stamina and strength gained through training. Strong Fist taijutsu does not require chakra. Taijutsu also does not require hand seals to perform, but does take advantage of certain stances or poses, and is much quicker to use than Ninjutsu or Genjutsu.

The above is the "textbook" definition of taijutsu that I gathered into one source. Read it, and tell me what is wrong with the "textbook" definition, and tell me what is right about the "textbook" definition. After you do that, tell me your own personal definition of taijutsu that does not view taijutsu in the same manner as the generic overview above, but your own personal recollections.

*Pops up from out of nowhere and joins for some reason

Alright. After reading this multiple times the only thing wrong i could find Is the part that says "Taijutsu is quicker than genjutsu." I dont find that true because in some, if not most, genjutsu all you need is a moment, just a quick moment and then your caught, while in taijutsu you actually have to execute your moves, showing them to the oponent. For example the sharingan Genjutsu. All it takes is eyecontact. Less than a second of eyecontact is enough to be caught in the genjutsu and that is deffinetly faster than throwing punches or kicks.

And in some rare cases, ninjutsu is also quicker than taijutsu. For example in naruto's chuuninexam, we saw gaara's sand, being able too keep up with lee's moves in the beginning, before he dropped his legweights. But overall Taijutsu IS faster than Ninjutsu.

And well, taijutsu too me is pretty much relying on your body. Taijutsu is hand to hand combat, where one utilises his fists and feet, strenght, speed and agility, without, most of the times, having to spend any chakra, thus focusing the training more on physics, like running, climbing, increasing strenght or simple sparring.

I agree with Kakashi I honestly dont see Taijutsu being faster than Genjutsu, as genjutsu can be done instantly and can be done at any range where Taijutsu has to be done in CQC.

My opinion on Taijutsu is basically relying on your body instead of relying on chakra or a jutsu to defeat an opponent. Taijutsu is most commonly used in a close quarter fight where you are right up and infront of that person. To become a master of taijutsu one must train in their main aspects of their body such as Endurance, speed and strength this can all be achieved through multiple tasks such as running increasing their speed and strength through certain means e.g leg weights or general weights

Taijutsu as a whole is always quicker than ninjutsu and genjutsu as a whole for the main reason that it NEVER requires hand seals. Those genjutsu which you say is faster are special cases where the techs don't require hand seals but if it requires hand seals then it is slower by a land slide. That Ninjutsu used by Gaara is a special case and like wise there are other techs that don't require hand seal and almost seem instant, but the same situation as before, if it requires hand seals it's always slower. You can't perform several hand seals when your opponent is 2 feet away from you.

that there are three types of taijutsu

PureTaijutsu
Using hand combats in its purest form without using chakra enhancement

Chakra Enhanced Taijutsu
Some taijutsu techniques however, require you to use chakra. Hyuga gentle fist is part of this category.

Advanced Taijutsu
Taijutsu that are done with special abilities. A kg like that of the kaguyas, Eight Inner Gates is also part of this though it also falls in the second category.

and that you always have to stay close to the oponent in order to fight him one on one

Alright good points both of you. Now I would like you both to emphasize those points. BC attack KH while showing how you can always keep him occupied, while KH try to show the different types of taijutsu in your response to his attack.

(Ill act as if im my character Kaname)

Kaname being put up against his team mate rushes into his opponent with a swinging kick hitting him straight in the side of his stomach, whilst his foot makes contact with Kakashi he throws a punch at his opponents face and then using his other arm swiftly performs an uppercut just after making contact with his face sending him flying.

(am i supposed to attack him back or just defend from his attack?)

Kakashi, upon seeing his teammate rusing towards him and throwing a kick towards the side of his stomach, simply presses his elbow towards the side of the torso and by bending a bit at that angle, blocks the kick on the arm instead. Seeing the incoming punch afterwards, he bows down a little bit, avoiding the punch and then as the uppercut comes flying from below he pulls the upper part of his body(torso and above) backwards, avoiding that punch as well.

Kaname rushes into Kakashi and releases a punch into the man's stomach then follows with an immediate rise of an uppercut with his knee into the man's face, he then grabs the falling man and pulls him straight into another punch into the stomach pushing him back slightly as the man is still being forced back he goes for a kick in the face.

Seeing Kaname rushing towards him again, Kakashi takes a fighting pose as Kaname reaches, Kakashi's left elbow acts as a shield of his first punch to the stomach, blocking it and then smoothly pulling himself a bit backwards as he sees the incoming knee from below, going out of the reach, before sidestepping the punch before finally blocking the kick with his fists.
