Hashirama > Gai? O_o ( Serious question)

Hmmm ok. So we have this scan by Madara:

He stated AS FAR AS TAIJUTSU IS CONCERNED..... that no one is better than Gai. And then it took Gai with his last attack for Madara to fully acknowledge Gai.

Remotly: in the slightest degree.

So we know Hashirama isn't even in Gai's league (when hes using the 8th gate) as far taijutsu is concerned.

But what about Hashirama's genjutsu/ninjutsu/fuinjutsu? Is that maybe why?

Which now makes me think, is Hashirama stronger than Gai in 8th gate? I mean clearly even Madara didn't acknowledge Gai as the strongest opponent he had faced.

So is he or nah?


PS: I'm not saying who is stronger, just want opinions.

And also, its weird all Madara did was put up a defense. He could've pulled out Mokuton, chibaku tensei, and so on X_X. So I don't think you should hold on to "Gai almost killed a juubi jin" that much.

Hashirama has all the factors to counter Gai tho

i think 8th gate gai is stronger just because he nearly killed juubi jinchuuriki madara who was way stronger than his previous self at the VOTE fight....if gai were to enter 8th gate right away then yes i believe he would win....however if we take into account that gai underestimates hashirama and doesnt entr 8th gate,then hashirama could prevail....but i dont see anyone underestimating hashirama to be honest....i think if gai saw hashirama as na enemy he would piss his pants and go into 8th gate right away knowing he doesnt stand a chance otherwise Lol

However, wouldn't that be enough time for Hashirama to switch with a wood clone? Or pull of a Jukai kouton?

He also has the Gates (not the 1-8th gates, but the great gates of god). And that Wood dragon.

madara had hashirama`s sage mode and reacted to tobirama and minato(top speedsters) but couldnt react to gai...so i wonder about that

i know,it seems weird to me that hashirama would lose to someone like gai too....maybe my impression of his power deludes me xd

As much as I want Hashirama to be stronger he's not. Gai is pretty much blitzing anyone who doesn't have The Sage's powers.

Gai only has "insane" uncounterable speed when he turns on the upper level of gates. And Hashirama doesn't require hand signs for clones i think . o-o

Plus, he could drop the gates on gai the very moment he tries to go into gates also. Or if he manges confuse gai.


Issue i find is if Gai gets caught, he can't escape.

Madara while being the Juubi Jin (which mean he was farr stronger than he was when he fought Hashirama) compared the fight to his with Hashirama...That alone says a lot. An attack like Evening Elephant would destroy Buddha.

if Hashirama had pulled out the senjutsu buddha and pounded Madara, we're not sure
how damaged Madara would have been.

But regardless, Hashirama is better for long battles against many people. Gai is far better at soloing.
Gai vs. Hashirama would end quickly with Hashirama's demise unless Hashirama was prepared even
before Gai went full 8 gates. But if it's a fight starting with SM Hashirama and 8 Gates Gai right from the start,
evening elephant knocks back Hashi before his mokuton take effect or before Hashi can hide.
