Here we are told that Juubi Jinch = Different, and that they don't die if Juubi is extracted (makes sense, since Hagoromo didn't die from it probably). May be some foreshadowing going on here.

Is Hagoromo lying? Was the Kyuubi inside Minato mistaken? Or is this just a huge plothole? Or, perhaps... is Madara still not dead?

The mazou was ripped from madara as well which was stated to be the thing keeping obito alive

First of all, only uzumakis can refrain from dieing for sometime.

Hagoromo survived because he also had uzumaki bloodline in it.

Except uzumakis no one can be survived after bijuu extraction.

Kurama stated that the sage was also bed ridden after removing the juubi and died not too long afterwards.

He won't live much longer but,he is still alive

He must give exposition to the final fight.

Theoretically Madara's legs from the JJ could still regenerate and regather the TB chakra. I think it's probably more likely we'll see Sasuke become the Juubi's Jinch and lay the smack down on Nardo

If they didn't regenerate when they were cut off, they won't regenerate now, especially when Madara is dead. And lol, Sasuke isn't going to become the Juubi's Jin when not only was the Juubi sealed away, Sasuke berated him for using the Bijuu in the first place. He even said that he wants to kill the Bijuu.

That is my point. Sasuke won't become the Juubi Jinch. I think it's more likely he'll extract Kurama to have Naruto killed again.

You know, this has been said many times now, Obito kept Gedo Mazou during and after the extraction, Madara did not, that's why Madara=Dead
Obito=Alive

I can't believe people still think there is no way he can come back. This is naruto! This kind of thing has gone on since the start! Remember zabuza? Yea he died! Dead as a door nail! Then...zabuza a back! So yes it might be unlikely, but it won't mean that it won't happen.

I'm still wondering if sausage's rinnegan can summon the gedo mazou.
