Itachi's felt more earned, because of the build up. Minato telling Naruto happy birthday was nice, but Kishi rushed the scene too much. We literally had a full chapter for Itachi, not to mention the flashbacks. Kishi did a beautiful send off with Itachi.

Thats the thing, everything was different and unexpected about Itachi's 2nd death.

Also the whole "scene" had some tragedy to it like showing sasuke the massacre/shisui saga.

When Minato got sent off, I was expecting something different, but it was a whole deja vu of kushina dying, only this time nothing really tragic happened, just him talking nonsense.

The thing is, he got to meet her "inside his mind" that time on turtle island, in naruto time probably like a few days ago, so its not like she doesnt know the shit he was blabbering about already.

Waste of a chapter, imo.

Being as I love Itachi, and know his past, and friendship with Shisui, I'd say Itachi, but, it turns out Sasuke learned absolutely nothing from it anyway, which inclines me to say Minato's goodbye as Naruto goes back to the life of an orphan.
