Storm 3 didn't follow the manga. Utakata says to Naruto that they've met before, which was referencing a filler episode. Plus the ending of Storm 3, as well.

The only thing that followed the manga was the DLC, and that was because the anime didn't release it yet for like another month.

I don't plan on buying it. Its just Generations 2. Imma wait for Storm 4, which is no doubt coming sometime next year.

Is all gamestops havin midnight release?

No. They say they usually only do midnight release if there was enough preorders. Like, for me, Storm 3 didn't have one, but Storm R does which is cool. You can try calling your GameStop and asking them.
