ssj god goku ran off of steam fighting bills while kid buu had unlimited stamina and energy plus he had better than any version of goku ever had, he survived a point black explosion of earth that had enough power to blow it up 10 times over, meaning he survived 10 exploding earths at point black range and still regenerates without leaving a scratch on him. plus he can breathe in space.
buu just blows up the planet and ssj4 goku dies

bills is a multi solar system buster at best he aint scratching buu unless he could blow up universes. saint seiya is a perfect example of who could beat buu since he could destroy entire universe with a single punch
i mean buu is very strong he could probably solo almost every superman form, even if super could bench press entire solar system he would still lose to buu because his punches would just go thru his body while he keeps regenerating, also throwing him into a sun or using heat vision wont be enough. since he had survived greater feats
Now that you mention it. How the **** did Buu regenerate if he blew himself up? An explosion that literally destroys the world shouldn't leave any trace of the person who blew themselves up. Cell did it too. Weird ass logic by Toriyama.
