One thing still bothers me about Black Zetsu.

It is a known fact that Sharingan -> MS/EMS -> Rinnegan allowed you to decipher the Uchiha tablet more and more.

How can black Zetsu write/re-write a code that only Sharingan can pick apart? Yet the guy didn't even know what Susano'o was??? (Too lazy to pull out scans, when Itachi used Susano'o Black Zetsu didn't know what it was)

Even Madara was baffled that Kabuto and Oro were able to pick off bits and pieces of the tablet, but those two are basically the best scientists in the Narutoverse lol.


Anyone have an idea/theory that can explain all of this? ^

The guy was around for centuries and he isn't exactly stupid he could have been spying on Hagoromo when he made it. For the Susanoo part i would imagine that he would keep on the down low to lower suspicions from White Zetsu who worked for Obito (Remember that BZ was deceiving everyone and he would not want Obito's right hand ***** to find out that he had been alive before Madara)

It was White Zetsu attached to him that didn't know what Susano'o was. I'm pretty sure he was able to read it because he came from Kaguya himself. If the Sage was able to manipulate text to where only the Uchiha can read it, then I imagine BZ could too since their strengths come from the same person.

Black zetsu is Kaguya's chakra, will, and a piece of her.

Scattered of chakra is nothing compared to somebody who is all in one.

Black zetsu carries the same element/kekkai genkai as her Gudodama, which is all of them.

If the Sage was able to manipulate text to where only the Uchiha can read it, then I imagine BZ could too since their strengths come from the same person.

The anime's interpretation was that BZ was confused what it was, it may have been white Zetsu according to the manga.

Black Zetsu lacks Uchiha DNA, he's Senju technically. Hagoromo was both so it makes sense why he can do it.

The anime interpreted that it was Black Zetsu.

The manga seems to indicate more of white zetsu because of the facial expression, but the dialogue box does not specify which said it.

Hagoromo left it behind to make sure history wouldn't repeat itself. I don't see what the point would be if only a select few could read it.


Remember what he said. He viewed the Uchiha as nothing more than mere tools so isn't weird how only the Uchiha were able to read it? Not only that but the only way to read more is to progress the stages of the Sharingan. Once you acquire the Rinnegan, you'll be able to read the whole thing. Funny thing is, BZ was the one who needed an Uchiha to awaken the Rinnegan.

I'd say that there's a good chance that BZ was the one who made that tablet unreadable in the first place after he tampered with it.
