Should killing ants/snails be considered animal cruelty?

Should killing ants/stepping on snails be animal cruelty?
Also salting slugs/snails, should this be animal cruelty as well?
Also should people be fined/arrested for doing this?

Putting salt on snails and slugs is pretty cruel, and so is burning ants with a magnifying glass. Only kids do those things though, so no they shouldnt be fined or arrested. They should be taught not to do those things

Yes, unless it's done unintentionally. I believe there should be a small fine associated with this act because we can't just go around killing animals for whatever reasons.

I don't think so. They're hard not to kill. Take one wrong step and you've killed a family. Also, slugs are horrible garden pests. Have you ever had them living in damp wood? Horrible.

I never really cared for animal cruelty.
It's a double edged sword.

But I can only imagine the pain that poor slug felt from all that salt.
Imo, humans only put things they feel affection for on that small list.

Take cats for example, loved by nigguhs everywhere, it's like a disease.
Now we get footage of someone murdering(Painlessly) a cat to eat.

in many courntires animals without a spinal cord have no rights, so there is no way to arrest them for doing so. those animals are low intelligent animals anyways(have a not so developped brain and are not even aware theyre living.) all their acts are merely on instict, and their memorie lasts a few secs at best XD

Compared to everything else humans do to animals, you're worried more about ants and snails? Humans are animals, and its animal nature to hunt. Lions don't have to worry about animal cruelty for squishing a snail. Its instinct. Im not saying we shouldn't care about animals; we should respect them as we would one another [though some don't unfortunately]. But there is a line between reality and absurdity and fining people for killing an insect such as an ant or snail is definitely on the absurd side of that line.

the ants usually win. The ones the size the with of your pinky fingernail. Not the really small ones. The really big ones with big pinchers were good fighters as well bit tend to lose to hornets and bees
