Compare the Animation from the Games to the Animation from the Anime.

Obito was a lonely orphan that never knew his parents. It's only natural he shyes away from maternal figures because he doesn't know how to respond to them. Notice how the next time Kushina talks to him she's not trying to mother him as much and gets on his level.

umm i have nothing against Obito, but it doesn't sit well with me how him and Kushina are buds. Like, not even one bit. Kushina could have easily wished for her son to turn out as such without meeting Obito.
