[Theory] The Last movie is non-canon and is just a teaser of the next time skip

It's never been stated that the movie is canon. Even Road to Ninja which was by Kishi isn't canon. Think this will be like the other movies. As if it was canon that would spoil the outcome of the Naruto vs Sasuke fight. It's too stupid of a move.

It takes place after the series and is the first of a series called the Birth of a New Era Project.

It would be pointless to do this project if it wasn't cannon.

It's not going to be a self-contained story like RTN, the movie is a continuation of the mainline continuity, as stated in the trailer "it connects with the original work" not to mention that Naruto's hand is bandaged, that hand where his Yang Seal is supposed to be that he's currently using.

No because the Last trailer confirms its continuity of the main timeline with Naruto's arm bandaged.

If it connects to the things happening in the manga it should be released after the fight between Naruto & Sasuke,then kishi should end the fight before the movie comes out,as far as I am concerned the movie will be released in Oct. it means he should end a fight like that in 4-5 chapters?

I think the trailer meant that the movie happens in the future,nothing more.It could be a story in the future but not related to the manga plot,like a mission on a land or anything else.Who knows?

Another point,there are a lot of fans who depend on the anime,they would not understand the movie,besides not all the fans live in Japan or USA to watch the movie on its exact release date and if the movie is connected to the manga plot it means you need to watch it before you read the newest chapters which will come after.There will be a lot of problems if the manga plot depended on the movie.Anyway,we wait and see,we absolutely can't be sure of anything. U_U

i think its a prequel to the new manga, all the ''new era'' and ''next generation'' and they all look more mature would be pointless make the movie so we can have a presoective of their lives post-war of the series for that we have the anime team

I believe its canon, Its states it in the sub version of the trailer that it most certainly is significant to the current story, that being said if you dont wish to spoil yourself or get hints of the future then I kindly suggest to just not pay that movie no attention until the manga is complete or when the movie comes out whichever goes by first. I believe the manga/anime will be finished by then though
I think the manga is ending next month. Need to cross Naruto off my bucket list already haha.

An animated conclusion is already indicated/shown by "The Last Episode" on the visual display.
さらに「次世代へつなぐ」と新たな世代の出現を感じさせる言葉や「原作のその先へ」というナレーションと共に、成長し大人の姿になったナルトが現れており、劇中で原作後の世界が描かれることも示唆されている。
Also, going by the words "Tied to a next generation" that are giving a vibe of the arrival of a new generation and the narrator’s words "Towards the future of the original work" and seeing Naruto with an adult figure, it is hinted that a world that is happening after the original work will be drawn in the movie.
原作の連載15周年を迎える今年に始動する「NARUTO 新時代開幕プロジェクト」の第一歩とも銘打たれている。2015年には「NARUTO-ナルト-展（仮）」が開催される予定。
Also, this movie is the first step of "NARUTO New Era Project" that is starting this year which is celebrating the 15 years of the original work. It is confirmed that there will be an exhibition for Naruto during the year of 2015.
