Series should've been named "Shinobi"

Title. I don't really care what the name is, but I feel naming the series "Naruto" has eliminated any surprise factor included in the outcome of a "Naruto vs. Sasuke" fight, or in any conflict that has occurred thus far in the series.

Thoughts?

Nah... I like Naruto.
It's not the name that disturbs me, it's just that none of this was foreshadowed in Part 1 and it should've been expanded upon more. I you'd have told me during part 1 that they would be facing a god with her grandchildrens power ups and the abilities to give and take life, and busting mountains I wouldn't have believed you.

Naruto being the main still eliminates the suprise factor, the main rarley ever loses in the end.

If it makes any difference... I don't think Sasuke is going to die either so it doesn't really matter what the title is.

It should've been renamed "thieves" because kishimoto steals ideas.

The title "Naruto" is about the person naruto is and the deeds he gives the world not about him being unable to die or be beaten which is what you're trying to say.

Was still the underdog

Nobody thought he would win against Kiba He DID
People thought it was Luck saw Neji and was like ohyeah he lost
He beated Neji Suprised everyone nd ect
Beatted Gaara this where he wasnt a nobody anymore

Part 2 Seeing everyone power ups once again ect but he rose up

This is a first.

What ideas has Kishi stole?

n*gga stole Kurapika and changed the name of his clan and eyes.

nah there is simmilarities everywhere in shounen so its whatever but HxH & early Naruto are hilariously simmilar.

its called naruto to keep you sasuke fanboys in check :D jking, or am I ?

the main character from ever shonen manga has always prevail, so naming it shinobi won't deminish the fact that naruto is the main character/ the protagonist of the story.

if you want to read or watch a an series where the main character is both the protagonist and the antagonist I would recommend code geass, but I am sure you probably have watch it before, if not go do it.

I feel the way Kishi has distributed the story amongst many different characters (dedicating chapters and arcs to certain characters) might've been a more potent way to tell the story had he named the series something else. Doing so would make it seem as if the manga was centered not around one protagonist, but around many.

That's the way naruto part 1 is which I love it didn't center only on naruto everyone had a moment to shine but then he abandoned that which was really good and focused on naruto obsession with sasuke and him turning him good

According to Kishimoto, it is the "...story about a boy named Naruto." Obviously there is a reason Kishimoto called it that.

the main theme of the story wouldn't make the outcomes any less obvious, even if the name of the series was something else. It's a Shonen manga, so the name doesn't matter. Based on that fact alone, the readers should know more often times than not that its main protagonist will have things going their way most of the time in the story.
