As we all know Gol D a Roger was the pirate king and his treasure was one piece, when Usopp asked Rayleigh about one piece he was about to answers wheather it exists or not and what it was , since his second mate new what one piece was, then it's safe to say his crew knew what it was like Shanks and Buggy

Do you think Shanks and buggy know what' one piece is because they want to be pirate king too, but if they already know wouldn't world government want to hunt them down

I mean look at Buggy, he's always drooling after treasures but he hasn't said a thing about One Piece which means that he already knows what it is but isn't interested in it (its not gold or anything). If Buggy and Rayleigh know what OP is then Shanks knows aswell no doubt. Shanks isn't interested in becoming PK.

It was about one year before his execution, I believe, not that it really matters. However, not that I would know, but I doubt he'd go to Raftel twice. It was the end of his crew's adventure, so I don't think he'd shame it by going there anytime after his crew was disbanded.

Except, you forgot the fact that no one knew, beside WB that they both were on the crew of Gol D Roger, until Marineford, after which, one is already shown as a Yonko while other is a Shichibukai.

They know, Buggy is simply not interested in it (probing it isn't simply treasure in the traditional sense) and Shanks either is disinterested also or isn't a D. so can't get to it.
