I'm watching old videos and Gai says Rock Lee had no talent whatsoever.

And normally, I'd agree. He was sh!t at everything.

Except he, Gai, Gai's father and Kakashi are like the only people in Naruto that can open gates.


When you're literally among the only 4 ninjas in existence that can open Gates ( and six out of eight at that or something ) how can someone say you have no talent?

He can open gates not as many as most of the others but he can at the beginning he did primary lotus that opens a gate so don't insult ppl cause u wrong

He opened like up to the 3rd or something. Go back to part 1 when he was training Sasuke in chidori, when he climbing some wall he opened one I believe.

I believe Gai was refering to Lee's inability to learn genjutsu or ninjutsu, which is basically what most ninjas use in some shape or form.

Kakashi can open at least one gate, as shown during Kakashi's one-handed rock climbing where a shot of his brain shows the relevant point activating.

Yes. Kakashi can open the first 2. He can't go into extreme lotus however.

That's not how talent works.

As Neji said, you are born with it.

You can't become talented later in life. If you have talent it's in there from the start. It's in your genes.
