Since NB has this terrible habit of never accounting for context whenever something of note goes down, certain events and feats are often misconstrued. Facts get embellished, characters and feats overhyped beyond reasonable, and so on. In recent memory we had to deal with
The most recent feat that is being overhyped is Sasuke placing the nine bijū under his control.
Not to misunderstand, regardless of context, that is a feat that is undoubtedly top tier. Hagoromo himself was impressed by it, which is an achievement in and of itself.
Impressive as it is to subjugate nine bijū simultaneously by genjutsu, the context and circumstances surrounding this should not be ignored. To start, if you read the following panel, it is clear everyone had let their guard down.
All the while this was going on, Sasuke was planning to turn on Team 7. I noticed Sasuke, in particular, had a number of panels of him looking around, and this one in particular prompted my suspicion that he was laying his trap as everyone lowered their guard - as one would expect from a shinobi.
So while Sasuke's genjutsu feat is undoubtedly impressive, it was not a spur of the moment. Sasuke did not so easily subjugate the bijū. He fooled everyone and struck when their guards were down.
The feat should be appreciated for what it is, a move of cunning, deception and mastery over genjutsu.
Of course, Sasuke fanboys will typically exaggerate whatever he does, and to those fanboys I would say: Madara did it better.
- Eight Gates Gai
- Sasuke "blitzing" a thoroughly condescending Madara who couldn't care less
- Kakashi's dual MS/Susanoo somehow making him top 5 or some other nonsense like that

- Naruto was off chatting with his father
- The Kage said their goodbyes
- the bijū were talking amongst themselves of what they would do next
- & Hagoromo spoke Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke.
