So I've been an avid gamer for years.
I was one of the first people to play angry birds I had an old sega back when i was a kid, had the special Hey You Pikachu n64, ps2, 360, almost every game boy, and most recently, a pc gamer
The rising popularity of multiplayer games just shows that people love games with other people.
So I'm here to ask what is the best multiplayer game of all time?
Sure, you have games that are more or less "arcade" style like COD online, no depth, just a fun shoot-em-up.
Then you have your hardcore gamers on counter-strike etc, online games with campaign co-op like borderlands. Anyway, whats your favorite Online multiplayer game?
I'll start with mine:
DOTA 2 (Defense Of The Ancients 2)
This game is made by valve (makers of the best games in the world like the Half life series, Team fortress, Portal, Counter Strike, Left for dead, the list goes on).
I was skeptical when my buddies wanted me to play dota because it was a game with an isometric camera angle (not quite top down, but like a diablo or warcraft/starcraft feel) and is considered a "moba" massive online battle arena. I hadn't played Dota 1 (not made by valve) so I was concerned.
Anyway, I played, and I've been hooked ever since. I've played every day with my friends for months, and it never gets old.
Essentially, if you've ever heard of that little league of legends game, its like that but an actual AAA title. Its got sick graphics that can run on almost any pc (valve's known for their optimizations). There's over 100 heros, and its easily the one of the most deep games of all time
Best of all its on steam and its FREE. If you like league of legends, you'll LOVE this game, because its similar in gameplay but improves on every single element. It looks better, the gameplay is more varied, and everything.
