M8 he got wrecked after he teleported, his base speed his fodder compared to Naruto's but his FTG is instant and instant > Naruto's speed

In some cases he is. In some cases he isn't. I see no retardation in you nor your friend. Minato could get to Konoha from where Naruto is now a hell of a lot faster than Naruto could. However, there are cases where Naruto can get somewhere in an instant more effectively than Minato can.

As Minato's FTG is instant, disappearing and reappearing means Minato has to adjust himself for a strike, which doesn't always work demonstrated with JJ Madara. Naruto has natural speed, so all of his body movements are moving at a fast pace, meaning when he goes for a "blitz", he's preparing to deliver a blow as well. At least, that's my take on the whole matter but I can see why your friend says what he does.

Minato had to teleport to Obito and then use his natural speed to try and cut him. Obito> Minato's natural/raw speed.


Minato is only faster if he uses his FTG
