The OP kind of has a point though. When Obito Had Omyoudon it was pretty epic. He could shield himself with it, absorb jutsu with it, Use it to attack, etc. All Naruto did with his was turn them into a platform for Sasuke to stand on when not in his Susanoo. So really, what was the point of having them out?

At least with Madara he turned them into black rods and just them as weapons to negate Madara's lightning and seal his Limbo Clone's movements. Naruto did no such thing against Kaguya and only sealed Black Zetsu's hiding place.

I think kishi simply didn't have the time, he wanted to wrap up the kaguya fight quick enough as is. Naruto using those puts excess work on him bcuz he only has so many pages per chapter.

It's not better. It's pretty awful storytelling to rush through an arc about a Jutsu that was hyped for years. And to reveal new elements and rush through them.

Btw, who said he was on a time limit?
