[Xbox One] Destiny

So for a long time bungie kept this game and all its whereabouts off the radar but in the past 6 months there has been a massive following for this game like Tv commercials, constant spam on youtube with ads, and pop ups. My question to you is Are they setting Destiny up for failure by giving it all this hype?

Seems okay to me, I played a little bit of the beta and it wasn't half bad. Being that it's from the guys who gave us the first Halo games, I think the IP is in good hands.

It's probably a little over hyped. However, ****ing with people at the tower is hella hilarious.

Nothing better than getting your trio and running after people.

Probably spent a good few hours messing around with that.





Largest problem this game will plausibly have is lack of content. It's trying to be an MMO/FPS.

It has enjoyable missions, but notably lacks side quests. Also, though honestly a limited amount of story was even playable, it so far has what seems to be very small questing. The story puts you in what feels like a silent protagonist position. Similar to the Chief... But with a less intimate story. Know what I'm saying.

Plus it was made public in 2012. So you saying six months is a big lie.

I am a huge fan of the halo series since 2002, and I have 0 idea what this game holds for me I didn't really bother at all when I heard about it cause I felt like I was done with video games besides super smash bros, and then my old halo friends told me it was out tonight and randomly inspired me to get it. Currently downloading it to my Xbox one and well I don't know what to think going into it, and if I don't like it well **** it then I guess.

That game is gonna be amazing. I'm re-playing BL2 and my gosh, the hours go by so fast.

OT: From what I've seen, it looks like a more realistic Borderlands (ya know how BL is cartoony?), so I haven't been that impressed with it. I'm still getting it, though, mainly because it's something to play and my friends are getting it.

I played the Beta and it didn't impress me, it also felt repetitive, every missions was about going to places and kill aliens etc, it didn't give me that Halo epic feel that i was expecting, but it was just the beta but now that many people own the game I haven't heard many good things about it, I don't think it will live up to the hype, I was honestly expecting an open world game (sort of like Skyrim but with guns and in space lol) but I don't think that's what we will get, I might get it tomorrow but I'm not sure yet, I'm having a lot of fun with Warframe.
