Best Developed Character

In my opinion, the best developed character is definitely Kabuto Yakushi. This guy had nothing. He wasn't from a prestigious clan, he wasn't destined for greatness. Instead, he reached out and took greatness for himself.
I can say without a shadow of a doubt that nobody thought he'd go from this

He became that completely by himself. No predestination bullshit required. And his backstory was superb.

Also, shoutout to Itachi Uchiha. He's shown more care to Kabuto and helped him out more than anyone else bar Nono. He was a pretty good guy.

I really like Obito and how he turned out through the manga, but he did have too much "Rin".

I think so too. A mix between father and savior. Not quite messianic as Kimimaro, but still. Another point to his awesomeness as a character.

Yeah, I partly agree with Lightbringer up there, Obito would be a top candidate but there's too much Rin involved. Kabuto is amazingly developed character too. Though I think Sasuke takes the cake, depends how his character keeps developing.

He realizes where his true home is, where he needs to return to. And that Orochimaru was never the person he thought he was.

I love Kabuto backstory. You can relate to it in the real world, well mostly teenagers as most have no identity of their own and are looking for it by adding on a trend or something to them so someone can notice them.

I actually never looked at his backstory that way. It's a real cautionary tale about not falling in with the wrong people for the sake of being something greater. Damn that's some good stuff.
