A fresh Gai using all of his 8th gate chakra at once could potentially rip jubidara's body apart completely

I don't think that would have killed guy but even if it did guy became too fast after that attack for mascara to do anything.

And madara barely survived. With his arm un-broken he probably would have done more damage, and I think it would have been enough to kill Madara, disregarding plot shield.

Madara was obviously holding back due to plot. If he went serious, there would be no "night moth" or "evening elephant" thus the fight being shit for the viewers. Gai's Speed and Strength would been countered if Madara used Limbo but held back. Kishi obviously didn't want that. Plus if you don't believe what I said about Gai being vulnerable in that state, then you should probably read about the fight once again. I'm too lazy to bring up the scans. :eww:

It reenergizes the body of the user. It didn't matter if he had a broken arm and few bones.
