Its a plot hole to start with, there has to be atleast 2.

First: The actual moon or their would be no tide, among other things.

Second: Would be where the ten tails was sealed...ect ect.

A world without a moon... not even sure life would persist.

The moon the juubi is sealed in is THE MOON, and the only moon there ever was prior to the moon Kaguya was sealed in in her dimension. Kishi completely ignored the effect not having a moon would have on the world prior to it being created to seal Juubi, simple as that. This is one instance where trying to apply real world logic to the Naruto world will only result in horrendous overthinking and speculation.

ppl probably got the facts mixed up over time about how the moon was created. It tended to happen, since there are ppl still under the belief that Hashirama and Madara's VotE fight was over a disagreement over who should be Shodai. Black Zetsu and Hagoromo's accounts were rather consistent with each other that the moon wasn't created moments before his death.

The First Moon was created in one of Kaguya's dimension to seal Kaguya (Not the Gedo Mazo).

The second was the Earth moon, which Hagoromo created to seal the Gedo Mazo from his body.
