Why do people say 8G Gai can only tie?

I see nigs people everywhere saying that Gai can only lose or draw in match.
This is obviously untrue, seeing as how as once the opposing side is dead, the other side wins.
Is it because they can't accept that Gai would wreck their favs? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But Gai dies after "destroying" his Opp so it's a tie.
He can't solo with 8 Gates without dying in the process.[SUB]

The Eight Gates is extremely POWERFUL, there is no way anyone can beat it. But logically, both die but Gai ultimately won. I see the Eight Gates as a sacrificial piece.

Madara would of stalled it out in his TSO Sphere if it weren't for Minato and Kakashi's help.[SUB]

The fight ends when Gai kills his opponent.

Him dying after the battle ends, Doesn't change the out come of a battle that has been already won.

He was beating Madara like the Pimp does to the ho. But The Madara that got one-shotted by BZ could be stronger than him.

The thing is that there are no worthy opponents to use the 8G on in the series other than Naruto, Madara, and Kaguya (By Feats)

gai is in the same boat as Danzo and Diedara. He has to "die" to draw a match or lose it.

The battle is over once one of the combatants die, it doesn't matter if Gai dies afterwards.
After all, Gai isn't dead right now, is he?
it doesn't make very much sense for a combatant to use a tech that costs the user their own life and still get credit for a win, even if it happens afterwards. The user ends up just as dead as their opponent.

He used a Tech that takes his life after use. He's dying afterwards.
What he does doesn't matter because he still dies.

You can't stop the effects of 8 Gates after he kills his Opp.[SUB]

if you go by video game logic then no guy cant only tie. the moment the opponent is dead or knocked out the fights over and the one still standing wins regardless what happens to him later.

- Repear Death Seal
- C0
- Reverse Tetregram Seal
- Eight Gates

All the same to me, SUICIDE TECHNIQUE.

There's no justifying it, you kill yourself in order to use said technique.

everyone will eventually die, 8th gated Gai eventually dieing after a match doesnʻt means he ties.

Just think about it this way, if 8th gated Gai is in a war and beats someone, heʻs able to go and fight and beat other people after he beats that one person until his powerup kills him. So he doesnʻt tie against the first guy if he beats the first guy and fights a bunch of other people before dieing.

If Gai dies at the exact same moment as the opponent or is basically left incapable of doing anything after his opponent is defeated, then yeah itʻs a tie.

Dying after the fight has ended doesn't change the outcome of a fight that has already been decided.

in 1v1, The person who dies first, Loses. Unless they both die at the exact same time, Then it's a tie.

I agree with the logic behind the whole tie thing, but its all in perspective.

Perspective #1
Guy beats his opponent, but he ends up dying so its a tie.

Perspective #2
Guy beats his opponent winning the fight, at the cost of his life.

I personally see it through perspective #2, but neither of them are wrong.
