I know there are probably threads like this already, but why not?

What do you guys think is really behind his eye?

Maybe it really is an injury?
Maybe Zoro has evolved his eyes to match Mihawk's incredible eyesight that can keep track with almost anything?
Maybe it inhibits Zoro's Kyutoryo technique by suppressing the Asura demon inside him?

He lost his eye. Think of it as a mark of improvement.


Mihawk vs Zoro round 1: nearly cut in half across the chest.

Mihawk vs Zoro round 2: A far smaller cut, but still a significant injury.

It shows how he's grown so much, yet he's still not at the top and has a long journey yet ahead of him.
