OT: Shikamaru once said the same in one of part 1 episodes, I'm really not sure if it was filler or not, but I think that Naruto in part one (especially in the early chapters) wasn't viewed as the typical Shounen main character since he was outshined by other characters. But currently he's fulfilling his role quite well.

At the beginning he was kinda clueless indeed but currently he's doig quite well .​

Ino is quite a looker in that image. I feel so dirty.
