So , right now , my ps3 doesn't read discs , it froze when i was playing storm 3 with minato , bla bla , i was in survival mode and i didn't do anything brute , like... while the screen was loading , clicking in X or something like that.

right now , i saw this video ->

and i did this ->

Update your PS3 (in the settings menu the 1st option)

go on the internet browser on the PS3 then go on the menu press triangle then on one of them there are delete cookies and the delete the others as well as cookies

check the disc if it has fingerprints or scratches if it does then thats your problem

if you have the 60GB sos mate they have alot of problems

or maybe try this put the PS3 on then press the eject button (with no disc in) then hold it then switch the PS3 off at the back with your finger on the eject button still holding it then put it back on then the fan test should be working this may cool it down

it may be overheating
if this problem still continues go out and buy a inter cooler from a shop

if it STILL CARRIES ON phone up sony

i only did that for now.

as for the video i'll do it later , because i don't want to loose any data whatsoever , lets be real , who wants to loose all the data that he has in the freaking games?

so , in the same website that i took that stuff that is inside the spoiler , i took this as well ->

I have had my PS3 for many years, and the best solution is definitely to:
1. Turn off PS3.
2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps (this takes awhile)
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

From there click 'Restore File System'. It took about 30-45 sec and it solved my problem. I tried all kinds of tricks like standing the system on its side, cleaning it, etc. This is the only thing that worked. It doesn't wipe any memory, takes about 2 min total, so at least try it. I just did this to mine and am so happy that the problem is fixed. The reason this happens can be due to:
-Power outage(s)
-Having to unplug the system due to an internet freeze(s)
-Deleting/Installing multiple apps/music/videos/etc.

so my question is this: does that really deletes all the files that i have in my ps3? if it does , then how can i save my files? can someone help me plz?

Sounds complicated.

Transfer your data to a USB and just buy a new system.

Could it be that you may have overheated your ps3?

And get the worse fk up for the console...rings of death. Lmao no.

The possibility of getting the yellow ring is lower.
Only dumbasses who play the game for 5+ days straight get that because the game needs to be turned off sooner or later

Well, I have been given this tip to a lot of people, but 90% of them don't believe me.
But when you put toothpaste on your disc and carefully clean it after, it'll work again.
It is up to you if you believe me or not, but in the end of the day, I am just trying to help you.

First, is it only Storm 3 or is it every game? If you solve this question then you'll end up saving a LOT of time, money, and worry. Carefully, and thoroughly examine the backside of the Storm 3 disk and look for any scratches/laserburns [laserburns are when the disk is burned by the disk reader. This can happen if you bump the system while the disk is spinning. If a disk gets a laser burn, there is no fixing it you have to replace it]. If the disk has any, then you'll have to replace the disk. Try playing different games on the system, if they work then thats more confirmation that its just the Storm 3 disk. If all games freeze, then continue reading:

Backup all of your game save data onto a USB stick, and then backup all of the same data onto the cloud system [assuming you have PS+]. I have backed up my save data on both before and transferred the data onto a completely different system, so you shouldn't need to worry at all about whether your data will work later or not.

Once you're save data is all backed up, then restore your system however the video said to do it [didnt watch the video]. If that doesnt work, try other methods with no risk/worry of your save data since you have it all backed up. If nothing else works then its time to buy a new system.
