My second piece of evidence comes from the movie "Road to Ninja", but not how you might imagine. At first, you might think I'm talking about when Obito and Itachi faced off and Obito ran, and yes this plays a part into my findings but it's not the epicenter of truth.

The final evidence I would like to present is Itachi being the leader of Akatsuki in the movie. This means more then people would care to admit. One, Akatsuki existing means the group must of followed the same events as the original timeline up until the point an event would occur altering leadership and ambition. This event most likely being Itachi, convincing Nagato to help, overthrew the limited Tsukiyomi's Obito. This is sort of concluded when Obito faces Itachi and knows he's out matched. If Obito knew Itachi had no clue about his abilities I think he would of took him on.

when obito said "i would be dead" he was referring to a situation in which itachi assassinates him unawares LIKE HE JUST TRIED TO DO.
not in a full 1 vs 1 fight.
if its a 1 vs 1 fight, it wont matter if itachi knows about kamuis powers, he has no actual way to defeat obi.
and besides that was MS obito. obitos gotten much much stronger since that time so really MS obito vs itachi holds little water in terms of overall powers.

RTN cannot possibly be canon as it doesnt fit into the timeline and was never referred to afterwards.

Itachi is a dangerous enemy to have. If he turned on Obito and managed to get Konoha involved, Akatsuki's plans would have never worked. But if he did that then Obito would have had no reason not to target Sasuke for his own nefarious ends. They essentially had leverage one each other and wouldn't use it unless they were had a good reason.

Itachi had no idea that Obito could remove the Amaterasu.
or else, Itachi would've implanted something else in Sasuke instead that could've killed Obito right there.

If Itachi had knows about his secret, he would have set up a different post-mortem trap. One that would actually work.


Besides, he had to keep Itachi alive for Sasuke. It'd be troublesome having to deal with someone who's trying to kill you when you're trying to keep them alive. If he wanted him dead without taking risks then he'd have sent all of Akatsuki to get rid of him.

Unless you believe Itachi>Akatsuki.

Alternatively, Itachi setting up a trap doesn't meant obito was afraid of him, Obito said he was weakened in RTN and RTN isn't canon anyway.

Itachi isn't even able to accomplish half of the feats Obito has done in such a young age.

Taking over the mist nation, destroying jounin anbus, fighting two hokages at the same time, and controlling the kyuubi's every move?
