There's something that's been bothering me about this scan:

I think this phrase was supposed to signify how many including me felt during the past arc.The random power ups,the story turning on it's head....I for one gave up on any semblance of logic that I should expect from the manga at that point.

I also think this is Kishi's way of saying he is also tired of writing the series.I've seen it happen many times in long running series where the creator gets burned out at some point and decides to wrap everything up quickly.

This would explain why Kaguya only got sealed in a measly 10 chapters,it would also explain why everything is suddenly coming to a close in the manga.

Those are just my two cents on the matter.

I have heard things from both sides which make sense unless something recently was confirmed?. This whole new era thing sounds a lot like part 3.

Or it could be a small epilogue arc.I doubt there will be a Part 3 though.

It's unintentional, but it sums up many reader's feelings about the final 10% of Naruto. It's sad really, but the magic of the series died shortly after, during or even slightly before the Kage Summit arc.
