Harry potter is very well written. Few plotholes, likeable characters, decent development, but it's s bit too linear. The story in naruto is much more complex.

I enjpy watching anime more than watching harry potter, but nothing compares to the hp books when I was a kid I would start a book and nothing else mattered until I was done. I cant think of anything that has captivated me in such a way.
