That's silly. I'm not a muslim but I would still try to help someone from a fire. You don't need to be religious to save someone from a fire.
The thing is, most terrorists just happen to be muslim. That's why whenever there is another act of terrorism, their religion is brought up. Especially, since the perpetrators claim to be committing such acts in the name of their religion.

You don't see atheists blowing themselves to shreds because they value life and are afraid to die.

But universal fatwa? The muslim world is divided, no universal speaksman. I think they should elect a caliph as a religious leader who'd represent them.

Its right in the face that the 'good' Muslims would continue to use the 'no true scottsman' argument while doing actually nothing to stand up against people who occasionally slaughter their own people (Just look at the number of the Moderate Imams and activists who lost their heads). The so called terrorists were common Muslims too .... It is the 'common' Muslim who are indoctrinated by zealots to die for a cause, it is the 'common' Muslim's children who might be lead astray to die on a futile death one day bcos of some lunatic preaching .... So similarly they need a prevalent strict public opinion against Extremists. And considering their structure and system of their religion it doesn't take that much effort. If present cant be secured then the roots for securing the future must be planted now .... The 'Good' Muslims must speak up and be heard.
