YOU MUST BE SOMEONE WHO WATCHES THE ANIME AND READS THE MANGA TO UNDERSTAND THE THREAD. Introduction:
Ok, this is pretty much clear to me now, by reviewing the manga and the anime of the event. That uchiha were set up. Especially the whole thing with them being told not to go help out against the 9-tails, to them getting the blame right after the attack. Somebody who was a sly fox must have known their behavior and how the uchiha young blood would act when they get bashed on by the village and authority. And that would obviously lead ANY GROUP OF PEOPLE to do a coup.
If the Senju were in that position, samething would've happened, in fact seeing how Hashirama has that "don't f*ck with my sh*t " personality it would've been alot quicker than the uchiha one. If the Hyuuga/sarutobi/nara/yamanaka/etc were in that specific position all would've revolted. Why? BECAUSE NO ONE LIKES TAKING BULLSH*T.
However... who could it be? who could be the one to set them up? Why would anyone set them up?
Well there is only 1 person known at that time who even tried to assassinate the Hokage, and gave support to Orochimaru's experiments on the village, took the uchiha eyes to gain more strength, made a secret organization to further his own goal, also has no care about the people of the village as long as he becomes Hokage. That man is the Madara on steroids aka Danzo.
Danzo's involvement:
1. Danzo had met Obito uchiha before that event occured. Obito said that the last time they met each other was during the Genocide. (something fishy here)
2. Isn't it funny that when Danzo asked Itachi to kill the Uchiha clan.. Obito also agreed when Itachi purposed that to him? <<< For those who say "Itachi did it because Danzo said so" uh no. Itachi did it because he forced from both sides. Him doing it for Danzo doesn't make him a hero or some sort of a savior. Him doing it so Obito won't attack the village makes him a "savior".
3. How exactly did Obito find out about the secret location where Kushina gave birth to Naruto? :]. Where was Danzo during this the 9-tails attack? Who ordered the Uchiha clan not to help out against the beast? Isn't it weird how Obito also had the uchiha eyes , and Danzo did also? :heh:
Conclusion
All of this leads me to believe the Uchiha clan were plotted against by Danzo. He did not want them to come to power in the village. Because if they came to power, guess what were Danzo's chances of becoming hokage? Zilch. And with the uchiha taken out of the picture, there were 0 shinobi who could contend for the Hokage position except Hiruzen (have a thread coming up on the DAnzo-Oro set up against Hiruzen. )
So yea the Uchiha were plotted against by the leaders of the very village they gave their lives for.
