Title. You have to say something! It can't be "there is nothing wrong with my fav" blah blah blah. My fav is Madara. I would say that I didn't like that he was too cocky as the jinchuuriki so he could have used more moves and not gotten sh*t on by kishi and BZ.

My favorite was Tobi, before the mask came off. I was digging the whole "I am nobody" enlightened monk gone rogue shtick. He wasn't really evil, his intentions seemed pure (unite the world an an illusion and let them live out their dreams forever to create an everlasting 'peace' the only way humanity could ever really maintain it), but his methods were not. He had this whole detached mysterious vibe to him and his ideals clashed perfectly with Naruto. Tobi gave up on humanity, Naruto still believed.

And then the mask came off and everything I liked about Tobi was ruined and we got a few months of Obito whining. I was disappointed. He seemed so much cooler and interesting as Tobi and I would've preferred the manga ended with him dying without that mask ever coming off - or if it did, it turned out he was just some random nobody that nobody knew. When we finally learned his history and motivations the character was just destroyed for me and it sucks. All that over a 12-year-old(?) girl. Yikes.

noooo. this is awfulllll.
he hated shinobi. it wasnt about rin. he gave up on reality, hope and himself. hes anti naruto just like madara is the anti jaraiya.
i guess i would have toned down the rin stuff. thats kishis fault tho.

His incessant whining about Rin this and Rin that and total focus on her killed his character for me. If she wasn't actually his motivation, then it's Kishimoto's fault for not elaborating on how, at least not clearly, because he really made it seem like she was.

I mean, I can see what you're saying, and thought that for a bit too, but looking back on it I just... can't say that anymore, sadly. There was just too much focus on her. Tobi was much better than Obito; Obito ruined my favorite villain. And then let himself get TNJ'd to top it all off, which I'd like to think Mr. Nobody wouldn't have fallen prey to. Which is probably precisely why Tobi turned out to be Obito.
