Nah, they weren't. I get 1080p too. It's animated natively @ SD, but is upscaled and aired @ 1080p in Japan, and certain other streaming sites. It's not "true" 1080p like the movies for example.

Yeah, I know. It's the same as a few older anime's that have been upscaled. Claymore for example, or Fairy Tail - early I think it's animated @ 1080p now. Because it's done digitally instead of how it use to, it can't be scanned @ the higher resolution. DBZ for example, can actually be "true" 1080p because of the film they used, but Naruto is done digitally and @ SD so it can only be upscaled. Still, it's fine for me, if you don't watch to pick out little things you wouldn't notice it. :|
