If he used it early i see no problem. Dont think he would be smart to go head to head with Kakuzu through. Kakuzu will also most likely use his hearts to attack simultaneously

Even if he does use his hearts, Clone feints and pure speed lets him evade most of their attacks, and if the main body is burnt to ash, the hearts won't be able to act anymore, and even if they can, Itachi can easily take care of them with clone explosions and fire style.

Itachi doesn't possess the stamina nor the defence to keep up with this type of opponent.

It also helps Kakuzu destroy him faster. More advance ninjutsu. Better physical power too. Earth spears and such. Amaterasu is not taking them all out. Its not taking out all those masks and Kakuzu so easily

If kakazu gets hit by amaterasu which he will he's finished itachi can dodge every attack kakazu throws at him if a sharingan kakashi can keep up in combat with Kakuzu and hidan it will be no proplem for UCHIHA Itachi Kakuzu can't even read itachi's hand signs that will give itachi the win also since he can make a clone in combat and keep kakazu busy amaterasu gg
