It's clear that the art style had changed a tiny bit. Specifically I rewatched the zabuza and haku bridge battle. The animation for the battle when Naruto pummels haku as his first tail released was pretty impressive. The last episode of the arc where zubuza cries at Naruto's words about haku, also spot on. The emotion in the faces of the characters were much better than they have been in recent memory. Did Naruto lose a brilliant animator since that arc?

I mean ten years old and you see glimmers of real great animation, it's both speaks to those episodes but also disappoints me about some of the war arc episodes. Not the most recent ones, but throughout

The art style has even changed from the beginning of shippuden in both anime and manga. Things just change as time goes on. It makes more sense that they'd animate old episodes better because it was new. When people see new anime tht looks good they're bound to keep watching it. Since Naruto was huge by the time part 2 came around, they probably figured they'd spend less of their budget and time on making the animation look as good as before. People woukd still watch, same case with One Piece.

Thats just my take on it, I dont know for sure

In Naruto Shippuden there are more excellent t animation. Episodes than Naruto part 1 in part 1 maybe 4 episodes had excellent animation while part 2 has more than 100+ episodes with excellent animation

Yup, part one generally had better animations.

It's kinda sad, because instead of getting better with time, the animation gets worse...

Animation in part one was terrible still, but better for its age.

It would have been better if the animation and art style remained same as part 1 Naruto. I miss that style a lot. At least the story writing could have been better. The current animators focused on too much on the animation style and ignored the story.

its because we rely on technology much more so than back then

you can tell the free hand style alot more which is more appealing to the eye, but it takes a long time and isnt cost effective
