Yoruichi Shihōin is a slender, dark-skinned woman of average height, with golden-colored eyes and long purple hair, which she keeps up in a ponytail. Her standard attire consists of a black, backless, sleeveless undershirt, an orange over-shirt with two white straps on each shoulder, a large beige sash around her waist, and black stretch pants with a pair of lightweight brown shoes, which allow for stealth. She previously wore a beige neck warmer, which she pulled up to cover her face in order to hide her identity, but seems to have forgone its use. She occasionally wears long beige wrist and leg warmers, each secured by bands. She, unlike most shinobi transforms into a cat using the transformation technique, this is also used for hiding her identity.
Personality
Yoruichi is intelligent and witty, holding an intimate knowledge of Ninjutsu and its workings. Although of noble birth, she acts differently from most other nobles, very much like Kaien Shiba. For instance, she instructed Soi-Fon to refer to her without using honorific suffixes, but reluctantly settled for being called "Yoruichi-sama". On several occasions, she transforms into her Human form directly in front of Ichigo just to see his reaction to seeing her naked, which she teases him about. In addition, she speaks in a dialect used by elders, such as identifying herself as "washi" (a term usually used by old men to define themselves with), instead of more feminine terms like "watashi", in both her Human and cat transformation form.
Upon showing her Human form to Ichigo, she forgot to put on clothes, as she had grown used to not needing them; due to being in cat form for so long. She especially takes delight in transforming in front of people to see their shocked reaction, due to her cat form making her sound male. Her love for her cat form extends to great anger should someone harm it or insult its appearance, as seen from how upset she got after her tail was damaged.
Although relatively calm and mature when a situation calls for it, Yoruichi is quite laid-back and playful, often teasing or flirting with those younger than her, such as Ichigo Kurosaki at the underground hot spring, a younger and hot-headed Byakuya Kuchiki, Soi-Fon before her time as a captain, and Kisuke Urahara, childhood friend, former underling, and fellow ex-captain. Yoruichi prefers to drink milk, which fits with her practice of transforming into a cat.

Background Info
Origins
Yoruichi was born into a noble family of Sunagakure, though she was nothing like a noble and did not like being addressed with honorific terms. She later left her home and trained under a Sensei from the sand, she became a great taijutsu user and first learned the Wind element.

, they both became really close and Soi Fon managed to become Yoruichi's second in command of her squad and learned nearly everything Yoruichi knew. At one time Yoruichi went missing from Sunagakure and when she finally came back like nothing had happened, Soi fon was angry with her and asked her why she wasn't allowed to come with her. Though later on they made up and their friendship became stronger than ever - working together on various occasions such as missions or teasing the younger shinobi generation.Sunagakure vs Aizen
A couple of years later a battle found it's way to Sunagakure, it was in ruins and the attackers leader; Aizen was the last enemy remaining; Keisuke, Yoruichi and Isshin who was another friend had ambushed Aizen to try and at least seal him. Yoruichi and the other two tried their very best to hold off Aizen, but couldn't and had to retreat so that there were no casualties. A Shinobi named Ichigo later defeated Aizen, who was actually trained by Yoruichi at one point - a proud kitty right here.
After the battle, Yoruichi left Sunagakure, she didn't become rogue and left to adventure, seek new students and maybe power if she was lucky. She was and met a Shinobi in Amegakure, he was a humble soul and eventually trained her in the element Rain. After spending a large amount of time in the rain village, she got fed up of the terrible weather and mastered her new element; she gave her thanks to her Rain Sensei and left backto Sunagakure.

After the Yoruichi returned, she was promoted to First General of Sunagakure after showing excellence in strategy, leadership and strength. She likes works along side her best friend Urahara whos is the Peace General of Sunagakure and sometimes trains people other that Soi-Fon. Yoruichi being the first officer also spends her time with the Kazekage, Albel - the two have also had a past and she constantly makes him feel uncomfortable as his reactions entertain her.

Though she didn't like the fact she was noticed because of her noble name, she became close to the Amekage and he became another victim of her teasing ways. When Yoruichi had visited this was not so long after Amaimon had discovered the Secrets of House Katsuryoku - they had talked about it a lot and he showed Yoruichi that she had potential for the power too. When she left, he had gifted her some Catnip Wine and the promise of restoring the abilities of Katsuryoku when he understood it himself.
This comes into play later as she sends a dove to the now High King of Rishiri in Ancrath for him to inspect a Child with a potential within Sunagakure. She waited for a while and turned into a Cat using the Transformation Technique, sneaking out and meeting the Earth King not too far from the Gates. She escorted him inside whilst exchanging in small talk about the potential student and about Amaimon's scar;

, who followed her all the way to her house where she left Amaimon to go get the Student. She was intercepted by Gaara, who through an insult at her, there was a little heated moment between them, but she soon got away from him.
She Eventually Captured the Student in public and knocked him out so that he wouldn't ask any unnecessary questions, she quickly addressed the proximate public like nothing strange had just happened and all was normal. Gaara hadn't followed her, she noticed when she made her way back over the Sandy rooftops to her house. She lay the boy on the floor and watched out for anyone at the window before telling Amaimon;

Whilst Amaimon and Yoruichi talked, the boy complained about being knocked out and kidnapped. And then Amaimon addressed him. He gave the boy a chance to travel with him and learn to become a much stronger shinobi, the excited

and he accepted with little knowledge about Amaimon himself and anything else, he just envisioned a great opportunity and left to pack. Amaimon has asked him to meet outside of the Gates, a couple of miles east. After Kirikoe left, the other two exchanged a look and Amaimon asked Yoruichi to escort him out - she happily accepted. As they were leaving, she asked him to look after the boy, showing her soft side but also becoming a little more serious; Amaimon expressed how he always looks after his interests and then gave Yoruichi a pouch whilst outside the gate.

Yoruichi watched Amaimon leave and reflected on the past and that it was a long time since Amegakure - it was a shame he couldn't stay longer, there was a lot to catch up on. Once his figure had faded in the desert heat she walked back into Suna and opened the pouch he gave him, she immediately closed it and looked around like she suddenly became paranoid of what was inside. A smirk crossed her face and she couldn't help it...

Not so long after her meeting with Amaimon, Yoruichi had been sending messages too Ancrath and receiving them again off of the Hamster when he returned. She heard someone coming towards her office, thinking it was the Kazekage she hid and ambushed whoever came through - unfortunately it was the Kage's assistant

Yoruichi then threw herself forward, hugging the Valentine and reassuring her that there is nothing to thank her for. Yosamu who stood there had noticed Akasha's red eyes and though at that moment that she was an Uchiha, but Akasha confirmed that she was not and then proposed to Yoruichi that she join her on an adventure - of course Yoruichi couldn't say no. The Cat threw her First Officer Haori on Yosamu and told him to tell the Kage a little lie, and he complied, leaving for the Village. Yoruichi turned into her Cat form and noticed Sado playing with the sand, she tried pouncing on it, but she was caught before she could kill Sandzilla. In the end she jumped up onto Akasha's head and that is where their adventure would begin...

War Time...
After a fun Journey with her Friend Akasha and her Companion Sado - they had reached Konoha. Akasha had told her that they were to meet someone, a Hyuga and when they did Yoruichi received some news from a bird, a dove from Sunagakure named Robert - her Robert. Yoruichi read the note and it wasn't good news, since she had left the clouds had attacked the desert and they were in dire need of help - being the First Officer she had to return to support her country.

With no questions asked Yoruichi sped off, running away from Konohagakure towards Kumogakure to gather some information. Akasha or Sado hadn't had to chance to ask what's up before the Cat bolted.
Upon Reaching the Land of Lightning she prepared to meet any Kumo ninja, but she kept to the shadows - being more wary of her surroundings so she wouldn't be surprised and instead could surprise others if need be. Upon reaching the Borderlands of Kumogakure the Raikage spoke to someone she recognized - Guren, with the Raikage there were two other Cloud Ninja. After a couple of minutes one of the Cloud ninja ran passed them both and after seeing Guren get killed she fled, it was pretty obvious that most of Kumo had emptied and if the skirmish in the Sand was won, Suna could counter attack.
Upon Reaching Sunagakure Yoruichi didn't pause and went straight into the Village where she saw one of her Villagers die by the hands of a Cloud - she jumped right into battle with the Kumogakurian known as Zero. He had tried to counter-surprise her with a Field of lightning, which she had no problem countering and before he could try to attack her again - Zero fell to Yoruichi's great speed and Wind Taijutsu. After confirming the death of her adversary she continued into the Village where she found two more Shinobi she did not recognize - Jio who was an enemy of Kumogakure and Mako whose reasons of being here were unknown.
Other
Wind And Lightning Affinity
The Element she was taught when she was a little girl in her family. Yoruichi's affinity to wind allows her to perform jutsus by using only one hand seal, giving her an advantages to wind over her opponents. She enjoys using this element as it is her favourite and will remain so.
Taught this element later after mastering wind, she had enough potential to take on a second. Yoruichi's affinity to lightning allows her to perform the techniques' handseals a lot faster.

After Spending a lot of Time with Amaimon, Yoruichi had also learned under him the ways of House Katsuryoku and she became capable at using it - after showing this potential, Amaimon promised he would teach her the ways of this House and asked for her to form a Clan based on these abilities.
Tools
Yoruichi carries many tools in her ninja pouch, ninja wire, scrolls for jutsu. She also has smoke bombs, flash bombs and explosive tags. She also carries a short sword on her right hip. She also has these knives called Anken which she hides behind her clothes, there are also some where she can release at her opponent with a swing of her leg. Another thing that she keeps on her for emergencies is Amaimon's gift to her when he visited Sunagakure.
For the Impact Arts Fighting Style in particular she has boomerangs stored in her ninja pouch, they are quite small and about the size of a Kunai - just a little bigger though and on one side of the boomerang she has a grip. Her boomerangs are steel and have sharp edges for cutting damage.
Reaper of the Cards Specialty
Yoruichi's Fighting Style Specialty is in the Reaper of the Cards, this Fighting style she utilizes the use of Cards of the Joker, She Can use a couple or more holsters and attach them to her waist with 52 cards in each one, usually horizontally along her sides so that she can easily draw and throw them forwards. The Cards are Sharp Metal Sheets that are used instead of both Kunai and Shuriken as they can be easily substituted for Both.
Taijutsu
Yoruichi doesn't use many tools, she likes to use her fists and she is very good with them. Her great skill in taijutsu has allowed her to become faster and stronger than most shinobi of her rank.
Barnacle Contract
Yoruichi has the tattoo of the Barnacle Summons on her left thigh, they are the second contract that she has signed and uses in battle for aid if she thinks she needs it. Since Yoruichi usually wears revealing clothing, her Barnacle Tattoo is visible for her to use. (she does have an extra tattoo in case, that one is much smaller and is situated on the underneath of her right forearm)
