Hinata's a side character who will be Naruto's girl.

Hinata was first shown at the begining of the Chunin Exams after Lee kicked Sasuke's ass when the Rookie Konoha 9 gathered up together in chapter 39,then she was with Naruto for the written test of the Chunin Exam.She sat right next to Naruto.After seeing Naruto struggle with the test,despite the risk at getting caught Hinata let Naruto copy her answers.After that she was barely shown with her team in the forest of death.For the preliminaries,while Naruto fought Kiba she silently cheered on for her hero Uzumaki Naruto as he took on Kiba and his Puppy.After the match Kiba told her that if she fights Neji then give up right away cause ofcourse she would get owned really bad.A few seconds later the Screen should both Hinata and Neji's names - signalling that they would fight each other.

Despite what Kiba said Hinata choose to fight,cause she wanted to change herself and not continue to be a weak loser. She fought Neji and got destroyed which was her only fight in the story besides against Pain and White Zetsu clones but the latter 2 weren't really legitimate fights like her match against Neji where despite being far weaker than him she showed amazing growth and stood up against him despite the risk of losing her laugh or at the very least suffering heavy injuries.


Hinata was very inspired by Naruto and even spoke the words he spot about not giving up being his Ninja way,which is what he said at the end of the Written test of the Chunin Exams.Ofcourse Hinata got owned by Neji which resulted in her next parts during the Chunin Exam Saga.While Naruto was going to the Staduim for his mtach against Naruto,he met up with Hinata,who give him some encouragement which cheered Naruto up and prepared him for battle.But at the Staduim during the match Hinata passed out from her injuries,and Kabuto came along and nearly touched her in appropriately while healing her,which freaked Kiba out.After that she appears at the end off part 1 watching Naruto as he leaves Konoha to go off on his Journey with Jiraiya.

In Part 2 After Naruto came back from his mission of saving gaarahe ran into Kiba,who must of been feeding Akamaru steroids considering his growth and Shino who Naruto didn't even remember right away,which led to Shino's dissapiontment.Hinata saw Naruto and was too nervous to say hi to him so she hid around the corner,and too Naruto's surprise she popped up infront of him which resulted of her passing out.fter that she joinsNaruto,Sakura,Kakashi,Sai,Yamato,Kiba,Akamaru,and Shino on their mission to track down Itachi which was mainly so they could get close to Sasuke.Hinata helped spot Tobi during their clash and she spotted the Amaterasu's flames from where Sasuke Vs Itachi took place which led to the Team getting there,although they were too late to me the young handsome Uchiha Kid.

After that was the Pain invasion arc where she heroicly jumped out to save Naruto - soloing a couple Chakra Rods then saying something like she's gonna try to protect Naruto no matter whatand amazing,to the surprise of everyone tells naruto that she loves him,she then charges at Pain then gets Shinra Tensei'd which results in a instant Neg Diff By Pain which leaves Hinata looking like she's dead which enrages Naruto so much that right off he geos 8 Tails.Afterwards we see Hinata's jacket open and Sakura's hand over her boobs healing her,like Kabuto did but unlike Kabuto,Sakura didn't look questionable.Then after Naruto talks to Nagato and heads back to the Village everyone's there cheering for him and Sakura geos up to him,ggs him and says thank you and in open panel we see Hinata looking at Naruto and Sakura smiling.

After that Hinata appeared in a brief moment with Konoha 11 talking about Sasuke being badass and Naruto saying noone of them could beat him and that any of them fought him they would get solo'd besides him,although he admits to not being able to beat Sasuke aswell.Then she's shown breifly over the War like on the chapter title to 515 along with the other members of Konoha 11,and she's shown somewhere around chapter 534 with Neji fighting a White Zetsu.Next she appears going up against some more White Zetsus with some of her follow fodder characters and Naruto shows up in KCM mode - this was right before Madara appeared onto the battlefield.Then she's shown in chapter 575 along with the Shinobi Alliance running to where Naruto,Kakashi,Gai,Bee,Hachibi,Kyuubi,and Tobi is - we see specifically the members of Konoha 11 thinking about Naruto.

Afterwars the SA get there like chapter 610 then Hinata has her moment with slapping Naruto,holding his hand and stuff in chapter 615/616.Then in chapter 633 when Minato ask if Sakura is Naruto's boyfriend and he says Yes,then Sakura gets all Tsunadere on him Hinata gets a panel with an exclamation piont being shown in the speech bubble signalling that she's surprised that Naruto out right,Flat out said Sakura was his Girlfriend.And lastly we see her trapped within the Infinite Tsukuyomi dreaming that she hanging with Naruto as his Girlfriend with Neji and Hanabi (her little sister - she was shown in the finals watching Naruto Vs Neji) being there.


And that's Hinata's parts in the story. lAnyway Hinata's stuck in the friendzone - even Kakashi/Obito's Kamui couldn't get out of that dimension.

I wouldn't mind it.. but they seem to have very little interaction. VERY LITTLE.... The confession must of kinda felt a bit weird since they haven't had a decent conversation one on one. The confession and 614/615, were basically the only two moments they have.

lol i was too busy adding in links to notice that you commented about it already.She had character development throughout the story.During the Chunin Exams she stood up to neji whereas before she considered herself weak cause she would always run away from her problems,hold her teamates back due to her low performance,but now against Neji she was finally standing up for herself,not backing down.That was Major development.Then in part 2 she stood up against Pain who had just owned Konoha and had Naruto pinned to the ground.She stood up the Big Villian for Naruto,so she could protect him and she told him her feelings - she straight out said that she loves him.Lastly we have chapter 615 where Naruto himself was on the verge of giving up and going to the dark side to join Obito due to his loss of neji and Obito using the Evil version of TNJ to persude naruto to join him,then Hinata slaps Naruto,and cheers him up thus brining naruto back to he sense and ready to stand up to the powerufl Uchiha duo that is Obito and Madara.

Hinata's had her great moments - i just listed her 3 great ones which developed her character.I'm glad i made these comments i actually care for Hinata now,she's pretty awesome.

All the filler episodes she received, and screen time from non-filler. They portrayed that she was able to keep up with Pein and taking out rods. When in reality, she got one-shotted and haven't even touch a rod. She hardly had panel in the manga.

lol Yeah she barely fought him.This is the type of stuff that leads to people calling her fodder,irrelevant,a bad character etc.But surprisingly she's a good character.I never cared about her into now from making my post.When i first read your thread i didn't even think that i would participate but i just suddenly felt like typing some stuff about what happened with Hinata and since i figured it would be easy due to my amazing memory so i decided to list everything.Then once i got done with that i decided to put in panels aswell and if you go back then you will see that it's now complete! I reworded some sentences to and added some new content that i missed the first time.

I'm sure this will come in handy so i'll save that post and use it later on whenever i need it to show off Hinata's brilliance.

Wow, excellent post!!! You literally got every moment. Thank you. It's good to know that she does have some presence in the manga. Though it's few (Big) moments compared to 790 chapters, she wasn't completely absent. I'm NS too, but I'm a Hinata fan as well. Whether it be a pairing discussion or not, I hear people mention anime only feats for her, to say she's better than Sakura or any of the side characters. I just wanted to know where does Hinata stand canonically. After reading your post fully, I realized that she has no combat feats, other than her having her families style, but she had some great supporting role moments, and also gained confidence in herself to be able to confess , and got to hold his hand, like she wanted. Respect!!!

Sakura is the main heroine of the series.She got her development just now.

We all know that Kishi isn't that good with female characters.So a side character like Hinata does not have much panel time to be judged.Her feats are less too.

Hinata is a side character,but has caused a impact in Naruto's life by giving him confidence with a Proud Failure speech and by bringing him back to senses and removing his doubts against his own thoughts(615).

Making Hinata or Sakura as Naruto's love interest is all Kishi's wish.

I feel Sakura had plenty, she came a long way from P1. It depends on what you think Sakura's development lies. It could be the whole Sasuke thing, or being able to stand beside Naruto and Sasuke as an equal. I feel it's the latter. Despite her not being from a special bloodline and family, and not being a transmigrate, she has done fine in this battle. She didn't need a Asspullish power up or to be given power, and she landed a punch on Kaguya. I personally feel she's over Sasuke, but is willing to be a good friend, and keep hm out of the darkness. Her development was there, It just it expanded throughout the story. A lot of people just hate for no reason.

Hinata is great for a side character... but as a ninja she needs a lot of work. Combat-wise she has no feats. She may got the confidence, but she need to stand on her own. Not against guys like Madara of course, but at least a battle where can claim herself. Naruto being her inspiration is good, but looking for him all the time to save you isn't. Also just throwing your life away, like she tried to a few times is foolhardy.

I made this thread, because after watching the anime and reading the manga all these years, I forget of the anime is just filler. I JUST WANNA SEE THE REAL DEVELOPMENT OF THIS CHARACTER. To see what she really done in the manga. After I seen a versus debate on MVC on Sakura vs Hinata, as well as a couple of videos on the subject, a lot of people said Hinata. It's either maybe out of popularity, or based on Neji or filler, but I wanted to know if she really got what it takes.After reading reading Narutoxhunter's post on "CANON" Hinata, I don't think she stands a chance. Her combat record is horrible. A lot of people on YT, says she's one of the best females... but it had to be about moral support for Naruto, because she hasn't shown to have got much stronger.

I actually agree with your statment more than my own. Hinata may not need to win a fight to be a good character. Her trying is good enough for her character. Same for Sakura. Them making a stand to protect someone important to them, when they were outmatched is astounding. I completely come to love Hinata and Sakura. Don't understand the hate for Sakura. It seems they view that everything she does is for Sasuke, when she wanted to protect and stop burdening Naruto. Sakura is also a supporter of Naruto's dream, since the chunin exams. Maybe her hate would die out, when she ends up with Naruto, or does something else cool in the manga.
