Oh no... I just got a horrible feeling about the ending.

Not about a specific ending in general but....

The ending itself and everyone nowadays trying to be "artistic" with their endings...

Think Mass Effect 3 or Lost.

You blew it in the last 5 minutes literally. Because you wanted the readers to "choose what happens themselves"

I'm really scared kishi is gonna pull something that leaves the viewer going.... "wait... what?" but too late, the end.

Then again it's a manga and I do foresee a happy ending but still... it's in the back of my mind... please don't kishi lol.

There is nothing wrong with a happy rainbows and kittens ending...I'm looking at you mass effect.

Man. Too many manga's end like that. This has been too long, I hope he makes a worthwhile ending.

I predict a bad ending, hopefully not like weeds ending, great show till literally the last season and the ending was just terrible.

In the end, despite what people say, if Sasuke dies and it all ends miserable, Kishi will drown under a wave of negativity from the majority of fans, no matter how well written it is .

I have said it before, Sasuke's death and Naruto being all bitter sweet would rip the story apart.

In the end Naruto has been a manga that has often been depressing at best and morose at its worst, would it kill him to give a manga that has broken the heart so many times the happy ending it deserves. If he doesn't, the majority of the fans will remember Naruto as a failure. Most works are remembered for the way they ended.

I kind of agree in the sense that I think Naruto should sacrifice himself toward the ending. He's my favorite (and the main) character so to do something that extreme and remind the readers who he is by doing something "unheard of" and heroic would be the best outcome for me.

Sure it would shatter any chance he has to become Hokage but there are plenty of candidates who have been directly connected to him and he would obviously be one of the main reasons for them becoming Hokage. Which I believe should be Sasuke for various reasons, main being he has been shadowing Naruto's life events in a sense and has grown a lot because of them.

Final Fantasy 7's ending to me was amazing. Yes while you weren't sure quite what happened, You caught the drift that Aerith protected everyone and it ended happy.

(Then advent children came and had people being miserable, but then also ended happy... except sephiroth can still keep coming back as long as he travels the lifestream) lol

Mass effect 3 seriously needed another ending. If you had amazingly high battle readiness, did EVERYTHING right, and worked so hard to achieve it, you should have been able to defeat the reapers with the combined powers of every race of the galaxy. But no.... Flavor red blue green.. no matter what... each with horrible repercussions

I'm all for a hero's death to save everyone ending.. just not in certain cases where the ending is still horrible if you really think about the long term effects.. cough cough sorry keep bringing up mass effect 3... it makes me that mad lol

Yes and look at the horrible backlash Bioware got for that, people hated it, didn't they release DLC to change the ending or something.

Same happened in Neon Genesis everyone hated the ending.

In most stories, (Boleach being an exception), you can torment the characters all the way through but at the end, if it is bad people tend to hate it.

Fans have sunk what, how many years? into Naruto, been through all the pain and death that has been thrown at them, both Naruto and Sasuke deserve a good ending and so do the fans. I hope Kishi doesn't ruin Naruto on the end by trying to be over dramatic when he does not need to be.
