Some boxes are much better, some boxes are far worse and don't follow the plot or logic (namely Kaguya saying she was the origin of all chakra when the Juubi was and when Son Goku said "But he's braindead" implying that Kurama spoke before him but that was not shown, so the MP translation for those were the correct ones. Also "the old sage of six paths" implies there is a new sage of six paths? That whole page is better off with MP translation to be honest.

Seems to me that MangaPanda tries to do literal translations - one step better than plugging kanji into google translator. *********** appears to translate the scan in context. So it makes a lot more sense. The word usage and sentences are better English.

Viz is official, so yah, it would be better. But it does not mean other translations are necessarily crap (though I agree MangaPanda tends to give crappy translations consistently).

I've once compared (with my 'more or less' knowledge on japanese writings) three to four of RAW pages with a few free-translators + Viz's work. Since Viz is an official translator, it has the least mistake in such task and tend to translate most epithet into English too, while MS rephrase dialogues a lot so some of them are either good or bad highlight to the image and situation, MP is... like taking dictionary form at some points, especially when it involves Kanji character and dialect.

Also, a few manga translating comparisons were already made by more knowledgeable people out there.

PS: But i'm not sure if there's any member among them translation teams have been changed or something, recently.

Viz is not generally available online, is it? Don't you only get those if you are a Viz site paying member?

It's for those who paid. Since i didn't intend to pay for it that time, one of my acquaintances once showed some of them to me when i said i wanted to compare them out of boredom, and to test my comprehension. Having said that, i really recommend English readers to spend a bit money with Viz. It's worthy, in a way.
