By 2025, there will be 0 difference between virtual and real life. The government intellligence agencies therefore have complete control over everyone's life. Cameras are everywhere, even in your bahthroom. Super AI computers track even your walking patterns. No human activity is private. Nothing is out of their watch.
By 2030, the European Union will no longer be an economic union, but rather, a super-state that includes even Switzerland and the land that once belonged to Russia, Kazakhstan, etc. There will be also some other minor geopolitical changes, such as the creation of the Eastern African Union (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan become a single country).
By 2035, the ISIS is no longer just a terrorist group in the Iraq-Syria border, but rather, a true caliphate that goes from Liberia to Somalia, from Morroco to Sinai, from Instanbul to Islamab, from Delhi to Jakarta. The Islamic State is in a cold war state with the European Union and the North American Union (which happens to be an union between Canada, Mexico and the USA).
By 2040, there is a fourth world war between what I'd like to call the New World Order Coaliation (EU, NAU, some other states) and the ISIS. The New World Order Coaliation wins the war.

These transport structure, however, will not be used to please the population, but rather, to make its enslavement easier.
By 2050, a great disease of the proportions of the bulbonic plague will make Earth a wasteland, wiping out the 7 billion people that will be on Earth by the time, causing the world to have only roughly 500 million inhabitants.
By 2055, there will be no more than a couple hundred cities on Earth. These cities are giant megapolies with a prison like system where the people will finally realize that they have been successfully enslaved. By that time, there will be no turning back.
By 2060, a couple few men of the elite of the elite of the remaining population will be able to transform themselves into mechanized hybrid human-robot creatures, separting themselves from the homo sapiens species. These mechanized humanoids, like the Rotschild or Rockefeller, are going to live by true gods while the true human race is enslaved.
