I think many people are missing what happened in this chapter with Madara. He was spit out (intentionally) by that Giant Rabbit (and let's not dismiss the face it made before doing this). I'd also like to note that the Rabbit is a separate entity from Kaguya all together. It wasn't just being nice saying, "Well, Madara shouldn't have to be sealed with us. I think I'll let him go." It let Madara go for a purpose. Interestingly, this parallels how Black Zetsu came to be.
