Haha bitte. But if you want the chapter in which the episode 8 ended with, it's chapter 28. Read from there and you'll see what I meant by my previous comment. For example the scene where that purple haired guy tries to eat kaneki hasn;t happened yet in the manga at that point.

You really should read it from the beginning. The anime is a pathetic adaptation. It omitted some important parts of the story and destroyed the timeline.
