Why Sasuke never demonstrated his moon seal to the full extent .

from 690 , we can confirm that it takes hamura and hagoromo to seal kaguya together ..which might imply that they each possessed one kind of seal(hamura:half moon ; hagoromo full moon) , just like nardo and sauce. afterwards , the latter somehow gained the other seal's power .

Sasuke never demonstrated his moon seal to the full extent because :

1.the half moon power was never fully transferred to hagoromo

2(less likely).hagoromo doesn't know the full extent of its power due to not being the original owner , so naturally sasuke didn't either

3. both 1 and 2

4.that's the full power . it's just that weak and useless

I think that parts of a seal aren't half moon and full moon but moon and sun. They're opposite to each other. Like day and night, like physical and spiritual energy, yin and yang. But I'm dissapointed a little while thinkin' about Susake powers. He's kinda weak actually.

The Sage had both Yin and Yang chakra, he gave Sasuke and Naruto his Yin chakra and Yang chakra so each had half of the Sage powers. Yin chakra is powerful chakra (spiritual energy) and the Rinnegan for Sasuke. Yang chakra is life force and physical energy for Naruto. Could be that Sasuke doesn't have the skills needed to use certain things the yin seal might have been capable of, I mean he stopped training right before absorbing Orochimaru while Naruto only keep training (shrug). I did think he was going to return Gai body to normal when he first arrived but oh well.
