Despite having the intent to crush the Leaf, he didn't do it. In fact, he wants the exact opposite now. No one in NV is perfect, so why be so hard on Sasuke when in reality, the guy isn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be? He did a lot to cause them trouble, but he also compensated by doing a lot that saved their asses during the war. Forgive and forget.

Whether or not he'll care about what he did, I'm unsure. But it's not like I said he'll be Hokage or anything.

What disgusting and pathetic logic. People should forgive and forget terrorism, murder, attempted murder, and aiding in mass murder? So you're saying if someone murdered somebody and then saved another person, then they compensated for that crime? You seriously think that is how the courts work or should work?

Sasuke still helped the destroy the lives of many people and put them in the position they are in now. He has not compensated for anything and he isn't even sorry for it. Now he just wants to be Hokage by force. How is he not a bad person?

I think the difference between you and I is that I'm not comparing this to the real world. It's just anime. And I never said he's not a selfish and bad person for what he did. Just that they probably won't feel the need to punish him anymore, knowing how the anime world works.
