Well... For Sasuke... Team 7 is less important than Karin?

He said, "I'm sorry, Karin"

Also the raws say he said Sumankatta or Sumimasen, much more serious than just "sorry" or gomen.

Sorry to interpret ,but He said sumankatta.
There was no "I'm" in the raw . Plus sumankatta is not more serious than gomen its more formal .

A leader (sasuke was the leader of taka afterall) would probably say sumankatta to his team unless they are close friends he may say gomin.

And that's why he said "I need you, Karin"? He also seems to think Karin is the strongest kunoichi :coffee:

Strongest kunoichi? .......You do know he recruited her because she was a sensory type ninja, right? She has no skills in battle or any techniques of her own....

And after finding Danzo he tired to get rid of her because she wasn't useful anymore, he can find the leaf on his own, there's no need of a shinobi skilled in tracking like Karin. If he cared so much then why did he try to finish her off. I can understand when she was a hostage but him killing her when she was dying doesn't make sense U_U

Depends on what sort of importance.

Karin and the rest of the members of Taka were instruments for Sasuke to fulfill his goals. He chose each for their abilities. There's no sense of genuine sentimentality imo. I always thought this team was supposed to be a sort of foil for Team 7.

Emotionally, I feel Team 7 is more important. No matter how poorly executed this whole bond theme and this Team 7 family bond was, it's still alluded to. He didn't choose this team, but grew to care for them. Of course, his feelings towards them is questionable at this point, but I still believe that this bond exists.

So in essence, one was more important to him in terms of usefulness while the other is more important in sentimentality.

Reread the killerbee fight.

What about it? Team Taka's efforts to protect Sasuke reminded him of Team 7. Again, convinces me more that Taka was supposed to act as a foil for Team 7. The past sparked these emotions to care in Sasuke.

And the way he discarded them (or specifically Karin) compared to the emotional scenes where Sasuke left Naruto and Sakura makes me believe it was just a formal "bond" with Taka. But this is my interpretation of it. You're free to disagree.

Well how is she the closest thing to Sasuke? Was this all happening off panel?

Yes, but also. The fact he says he needs her. Something he didn't say to Juugo or Suigetsu, he thinks she's the strongest kunoichi, he thanked and her acknowledged her when she saved him, he awakened Kagsutchi trying to save her, stabibing her is what made him enter "true darkness", the infamous smile, him apologizing her. And Suigetsu has hinted at things as well and even thinks Sasuke likes Karin.

A real apology..so emtion..so regret. ...shows how much he cares.
It was still an apology, and you bringing up the Kabuto thing only makes you look more desperate.

Did Sasuke say "I'm sorry Kabuto" That's basically your logic.

If Sasuke really didn't care for Karin then he wouldn't have stalled and asked Sakura to finish her off.
