Ikr! Plot severely stopped her, and Kishi had to do this because before he couldnt think of a way to defeat Madara, and Kaguya>>> Madara. Kishi had to give Kaguya a reason to hold back for the majority of the fight, and then get serious in her final moments as a way to "justify" the hardcore nerf

It is harder to fight without killing intent than it is to fight with killing intent, always focusing on holding back all of your attacks so that it won't kill the enemy. Hence why despite Sasuke being my fave, I say that if Itachi truely had killing intent, he would have defeated Sasuke easily without going through all of that drama.

Make them get burned severely by the lava, then swapping dimensions again while they are hurt bad. And Kaguya most likely knew that they would survive because Naruto has the TSB like she does, and Sasuke is a transmigrant of Indra who most likely has a Winged Susano'o as well as a Sharinnegan

Watch next chap she ends up using Sasuke's technique and swapping with Kakashi or something at the last moment and trolls Sasuke and Naruto by having them accidentally seal up Kakashi instead XD That will make me fall out of my seat laughing at the epic troll she did XD
