Backtracking a bit on some anime episodes and to be honest I am really starting to miss Yamata in both the anime and manga worlds, especially with his funny skits where he would attempt to "control Naruto with fear, forever".

Not necessary. He, along with other who acquired Hashirama cells, can not perform Wood Style on the same level because they lack control. Although, in Yamato's case, he lack skill.
