The % of the entire story happening in the war arc (as of 689) will shock you!

Naruto has been going on for 15 years, and is drawing to a close.

It is shocking when you see how much of this entire war arc (Some say the war arc becomes the Juubi arc) has taken up the overall story.


As of now we have 689 chapters.

Tobi's declaration of war was still during the kage summit arc. Gaara's speech is the start of the new arc.

Gaara's speech happens in chapter 515.

For 174 chapters, (5 years irl as of next January) we have been in the same war.

174 / 689 = .25 x 100 = 25%.

25% of the entire story has been in this same war!

Now let's remember the fact that this war has been going on for 2-3 days.

1/4 of this entire manga takes place over the course of 3 days geez.

At least with land of waves to CE arc in part 1, the timeskip, and numerous arc transitions in part 2, Kishi has shown that there have been time gaps.

A 3 year difference story wise over 15 years irl isn't too bad. Not like long running cartoons/animes such as the simpsons/family guy where they never age.

Lol yeah it ended at i think chapter 592,then from 593-656 was the Juubi Revival Arc and from 657 til now has been the Infinte Tsukuyomi Arc.Few people know that and repeatedly call this Arc the War Arc.

This War Arc could have been 100 Times better if someone else was in charge
Kishi did not want to develop other Ninjas it was the perfect time could have gave them sleek new Techniques more of a emotion physiological impact because THIS IS WAR could have killed of Characters While giving them Panel time couldve made it sadder

But no he had to rush for a 3 day war

I can see why he did it consider how much has happened.He probably thought showing all the battles fully would take too long.

The war arc officially ended when Itachi ended the Edo Tensei Jutsu. Since that point we've actually entered and left a multitude of arcs, such as the Juubi's Revival Arc, the Juubi's Jinchuriki Arc, the Madara Revival Arc and now the most recent Kaguya Arc.

However, all of these arcs are all part of the 4th Ninja World War, unlike previous arcs in which the arc is completely resolved and the story moves on elsewhere, every story arc since the beginning of the war arc are all linked to one story arc and the statement can be claimed that this is all one War Arc.
