I dont understand Homeless People

Why do they subject themselves to harsh conditions in the real world


If they want food and shelter, all they have to do is go to jail


Commit a crime, go to jail


In exchange for ur freedom, u get food, u get shelter, u get certain perks like cigarettes, internet, tv, if ur cool with other prisoners and guards


I see Homeless people everyday - iaround the corners, in the dark alleys, in the subways, begging for food and money


They are barely getting by and I never understand why they just dont commit crimes and get a free ride to prison

I'm going to go ahead and assume that you're trolling.

Plus, you live in New York. Most homeless people receive great benefits from the government and tax payers' dollars are going to their welfare checks. So they don't have to pay for the bills, food, or rent. If they're begging, it's just to get extra money they don't need ... or they do need it but just haven't been approved for Food Stamps and all that.
