Are people allowed to give negative reps simply because they don't agree with your opinion? I got a few negative reps from elaborating my opinion, nothing more. I thought they were for bad behavior. Thanks.

Sure. However, in my opinion, I think it is idiotic for someone would -Rep for that. I remembering I get -Rep from a few unknown members who don't even post in threads or the forum, or at least have 10 post. I would respect you enough if you at least argue your opinion, but to just -Rep is a coward move.
I can read. I just wanted this clarified because it doesn't seem like a reputation system I falsely had in mind. Oh well, thanks guys.

That is the point. You. Some would feel some type of way. He feels some type of way about the -Rep. It means something. His opinion means something. I understand that people would not always agree on, but showing it using -Rep shows what type of person you are. If I disagree, I would tell you and move on. If I agree, I agree and move on. I might give you a +Rep or not. It is simple as that.
However, to -Rep on someone opinion and at times, do not even post a reply to ague back, you wonder why some people are here. At least discuss, and if you still don't agree, than -Rep.

Each and everyone of us have different criteria regarding when to rep and when to neg rep, but if you think that someone is doing that purposefully you can always report using report box or can report to Zise via PM.^^

You should be allowed to take liberties with rep I feel.
Rep is a commodity. If you're negged, tough luck. Someone out there crosses swords with your individualistic, personalistic perspective on things. Picture that.
